Principal's Message

Dear Parent/Guardian of Shaw High School,

 

Beginning Tuesday, April 2, 2019, Shaw High School will administer the End of Course Exam (EOC) to ninth, tenth and upper classmen students who will need to pass one of the following assessments: English I, English II, Algebra I, Geometry, US History, Biology, and US Government.  These tests are used for State of Ohio accountability, as well as for graduation requirements.

 

The End of Course Exams will be administered as follows:

 

9th Grade - English I – April 2nd /3rd 

10th Grade- English II – April 4th /5th

9th Grade - Algebra I – April 23rd /24th

9th Grade (selected students)/10th Grade - Geometry – April 25th /26th

9th Grade - US History – April 29th

11th Grade - Government – April 30th

9th Grade - Biology – May 1st /2nd

 

Students who are testing should report to school no later than 7:50 am.  Breakfast will be served to students who are testing.  Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 am each morning.  Students who are not testing should arrive to school at 10:20 am on the above testing days.  It is critical that all students are well rested and arrive on time.  The End of Course Exams is a requirement for graduation. Your cooperation and support is vital to assist your child in meeting this important graduation requirement.
