Black History LIVING WAX MUSEUM ASSIGNMENT

The students were required to research a famous African American and create a characterization of this person to be included in the 6th Grade living wax museum.

Students were allowed to choose any African American who inspired them throughout history.  Each monologue had to include a famous quote from the historical figure chosen that helped students draw inferences about the characteristics of their historical figure.  The project was given to the students to teach researching skills and provide students with the opportunity to learn about famous African Americans.
