Dear Parents and Community Members:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2012-2013 school year! The East Cleveland City School District is a comprehensive learning community that is devoted to meeting the needs of our students by providing academic programs that can be adapted to meet their individual needs. We believe that every child can achieve excellence. Our Continuous Improvement Plan is designed to support student academic achievement by focusing upon the following:
v A PreK-12 curriculum that is designed to promote rigor.
v Strategies, interventions and data correlated to the core curriculum.
v Instructional coaches, in every school, to enhance teaching and learning.
v Extended educational opportunities for students, i.e., before/ after school tutoring and Saturday School.
v Maintaining partnerships with world renowned corporations as a means to support and enhance principals, teachers and other instructional stakeholders.
v Parental involvement initiatives to promote increased parenting skills and increase parental involvement in the educational process and initiatives availed throughout the District.
We continue to be committed to providing our students with a quality education that will prepare them to become successful and contributing members of society.
It is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that we embark on yet another school year. Thank you for your continued support and participation in the District’s quest to avail our youth with a quality education and future.
