Important Updates

Dear Heritage Families,
We are excited to welcome your children back to school after winter break! We are looking forward to a successful second semester. There are 52 instructional days until we begin OST and EOC testing. We must make every instructional day count. Parents we need your assistance with reinforcing the importance of completing homework, getting to bed on time, and having breakfast in the morning. We want to create the best environment for your children, our students to be academically successful. Our goal is to ensure that every student is either career or college ready.

Weekly Events:

10:00a.m  – 1:00 p.m. CCP students attend Cuyahoga Community College (Mondays through Thursday)
3:15 p.m.-5:15 p.m. Boys and Girls Club (Mon – Thurs)
3:30 p.m. – 5:00p.m. Girls Basketball practice (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
3:30p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Viva La Musical (Wednesdays and Fridays)
3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Wrestling practice (Mon-Fri)
3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Basketball practice (Mon – Fri)

The students will participate in both Illuminate and NWEA testing during the month of January. These assessments are necessary to prepare our students, your children for the state assessments. If you have any questions about the assessments please call or stop by the school to speak with me personally.

Currently our attendance is about 94% daily. Thank you for getting your children, our students to school daily and on time. Continue doing what you are doing. If your child is going to be absent or late call or send your child with a note when they return. If there something hindering your child, our students from coming to school, let us know we can help. All attendance concerns should be reported to the main office.
Behavioral Concerns: If your child’s behavior is changing and you have concerns, our school is about educating the whole child. Let us know we can help. Ms. Greer and Mr. McCoy are Social Workers. They work for the school district not Child and Family Services. They are here to help. 
All students must have current immunization records in the student records. If you have mostly had your child immunized. We need a copy of the shot record. If you have questions about the required immunizations contact Nurse Morris.

Breakfast: 7:50 a.m. – 8:20 a.m.
School Starts: 8:20 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:10 p.m.

Breakfast is served each morning from 7:50 a.m. until 8:20 a.m. All students that want to eat breakfast must go directly to the cafeteria and remain there until breakfast ends at 8:20 a.m. Parents, it is important that you do not have your children arrive at school before 7:50 a.m. (if eating breakfast).
