Two Shaw High School Graduates Receive $5,000 Scholarships from W.H. Gardiner

At the regular meeting of the East Cleveland Board of Education on September 13, 2021, two Shaw High School graduates from the Class of 2021 were recognized for their hard work and interest in the science field by W.H. Gardiner.  Graduates Mya Tomoto and Sariah Fussell each received a $5,000 academic scholarship from the Gardiner Education Scholarship Fund.  The scholarship was presented by Mr. Kevin Pugley, Sustainability Associate for W.H. Gardiner.  

 

Students from Shaw High School toured the Gardiner facility last school year as part of the ongoing effort to promote career exploration and prepare our students to be college, career, and life ready.  Given the hands on experience at the facility, students were encouraged to apply for the scholarship.  Currently, Mya is studying at the University of Akron and Sariah is studying at
