Cardinal Nation--

Due to rising confirmed positive cases in the district, East Cleveland City Schools will change school schedules through winter break. We find it necessary, as a preventative measure to keep students, families, and staff members safe, all students will be attending class virtually starting tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15.

Students attending Caledonia Elementary, Mayfair Elementary, and W.H. Kirk Middle School will follow this schedule:

On Wednesday the 15th, Thursday the 16th and Monday the 20th, students will follow a modified schedule which will meet approximately half of their classes.  Classes are scheduled to take 75 minutes and attendance to class is mandatory.  Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd are extended instructional time where students will need to check in with their classroom teacher for any intervention and enrichment activities or to complete any missed work.

Friday the 17th is still scheduled as a professional development, so students will not be meeting with their teachers.  Winter break still begins on December 23rd.

Students attending Shaw High School will follow this schedule:

On Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th, students will follow a modified schedule which will meet approximately half of their classes.  Classes are scheduled to take 75 minutes and attendance to class is mandatory.  

On Monday the 20th, Tuesday the 21st, and Wednesday the 22nd, students are expected to come to campus to take mid-term exams.  Once students have completed their mid-term exams, they may go home.  Lunch will be offered daily.  

Friday the 17th is still scheduled as a professional development, so students will not be meeting with their teachers.  Winter break still begins on December 23rd.

Students attending Prospect Academy will follow this schedule:

On Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th, students will report to school as normal.  Friday the 17th is a professional development day, so students will not be meeting with their teachers.  Students will work asynchronously on Monday the 20th, Tuesday the 21st, and Wednesday the 22nd.  Winter break still begins on December 23rd.
